Anne Gericke is a German jewelry maker who arranges amazing, tiny, hand-painted figures in solid glass enclosed in a silver frame. It’s definitely pricey but some might say it’s worth it. I bought a necklace several years ago with two tiny business men and I can’t tell you how many times people ask me what it is. Despite its tiny size, it’s definitely eye catching.

Another great creation from Scrapile, the Brookly duo who reclaim woodscraps and turn them into furniture masterpieces. I’m considering making my house a “no shoe” house because I’d like to invest in a few nice wool rugs. If you’re looking for a modern sofa, and if you’re planning on having it for a while, I recommend the Bottoni. The size and shape are simple and sophisticated, yet the price tag doesn’t knock all the wind out of your lungs. Really, when you think about all the time you spend on a sofa and how long you’ll have it (years?), and consider the cost per month, it’s really a steal. One of the perks of this particular sofa is that there are small blanket-type things (sold separately) that can customize the seat back if you were wanting a bit more pattern.

A good price for a nicely sized rug. And, it’s got a fun tangly orange design at two of the corners, which adds a little interest to the otherwise large expanse of neutral army green.
