Holy cow! These oil lamps are actually real US army surplus grenades that are gilded in gold or silver (or left in their natural finish) and filled with oil so it can be a candle. I like ’em lots. No matter what your opinion on general warfare, you’ve got to appreciate the genius of these lamps. I’m sure many would have raised eyebrows when happening upon them, and I guess that’s the beauty of it all, huh?

With all the antler paraphernalia around nowadays, why not add another to the mix? This wall-mounted coat hanger is made of powder coated steel wire and is available in the truly great color red.

There was a psychological study where test subjects were given subliminal messages and then given an exam to see how the message affected performance. The subjects that were given the message “Mommy and I are one” outperformed those with a negative message. The test subjects given the message “people are walking” showed no difference in test scores.
If you want to create a psychologically neutral environment, perhaps the “people are walking” rug would achieve the sort of effect you were looking for.
6 feet x 8 feet
The design on this rug is perfect for any modern home or office. Hand knotted 100 knots with 100% New Zealand wool, 8mm pile height.

This would be great in a library or livingroom.
“Cool polished nickel meets warm chocolate-stained wood. Wood-construction shelves slip into fixed position in the metal frame. Assembly required.”

Loveliness on a plate, that’s what this is. Delicate light grey patterns grace the white porcelain plates and bowls, and, of course, this particular collection was designed by Tord Boontje. Dishwasher safe.

Did you want to be a scientist when you were growing up? What happened to that dream anyways? Well, at least you can look like it’s still a hobby with these Lab Vases. They’re discontinued, so you better hurry if you want ’em.
Made from authentic laboratory glass.

Ruthless, my style as a juvenile…
Who doesn’t want a vector-type image of a rapper (dead or alive) superimposed over a bad thrift-store landscape? I know I do.

Ooo, these look very futurish, which is good if you’re me, or if you’re somebody that likes futurish things.

About a year ago I bought some “modern” flatware. It looked great at first but then after a while it started to get rusty. It’s because it was not stainless steel. I learned my lesson. This flatware is mirror-finished 18/8 stainless steel. Dishwasher safe.
Flatware set : Four five-piece settings of salad fork, dinner fork, knife, soupspoon and teaspoon. 6.5″โ9″l.
Serving set : 9″l fork and 8.5″l spoon.

Who needs a big fancy radio when you can just have a little rabbit? I get tired of listening to iTunes at work and sometimes I long for a little new hip hop or NPR…
I wish the radio plugged in instead of requiring batteries, but for $12 I won’t complain too much. Besides, the eyes are the buttons to change the station! And, when the antenna is not in use, it collapses into the bunny head concealed as his left ear. His mouth is the speaker.
Radio requires two AA batteries, batteries not included.

Kinda nice-lookin’ and kinda in the affordable price range (which is, of course, relative). I bet your stuff would look nice in it.
Available in Dark Wood or Honey Oak finish.

I’m going to pretend we could all afford to purchase the Caboche Suspension Lamp by Eliana Gerotto & Patricia Urquiola. It’s so incredibly lovely. There’s 189 clustered transparent globes (made of polymethylmetacrylate) and a white matte finish glass shade that directs the light just where it needs to be, and of course optimizes the pretty factor.

“Good Grief. The tree is an exact replica of the tree from the Charlie Brown Cartoon, made of wire branches and plastic needles with a criss cross wooden base. The bendable branches allow you to make it look just how you want, super pathetic or just kind of pathetic. The tree comes with one red Christmas ball ornament. Plus the bendable branches make it possible to fold the tree entirely flat for easy storage during the non-yuletide times of the year.”
New rule: now that you’re an adult you have to talk in the “wu-wah-wu-waa-waa” voice.
* Wire / plastic / wood base
* Base: 91/2″l, 27/8″w; Tree: 21″h; glass ball: 3″w
* Take care with rough wood base, as it tends to splinter
