What a nice placemat! And it’s different and modern and made from formica veneer on wood. I like it. But, there’s something unfortunate- it’s apparently discontinued and therefore the quantity is limited. Shoot, huh? Anybody know of another place that carries it?

I absolutely love these plates and I know that they are way too expensive (at least for the average person). But they’re so completely lovely; the hand painted insects were taken from a famous Cumberland pattern designed by Joseph Zachenberger from 1760-1765 (I’m such a sucker for historical replicas).

Nice for bedside or sofaside or something. The curve of the top panel is especially nice; it’s available in White Enamel or Anodized Aluminum (with or without shelf). I just wish it was a little bit less ‘spensive.

It’s a collapsible funnel. Why all funnels aren’t collapsible is beyond me; it makes total sense and completely eliminates any storage challenges that one would have in the kitchen. You just fold it flat and stick it in a drawer. Boje Estermann, the man behind the magic, got the inspiration from his reflex camera (the accordion-like shape). It’s made of Santoprene, which is a durable/flexible material that can withstand those extreme temperatures that comes with cooking and such. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

It looks like styrofoam but isn’t. Sold as a set of six, you’ll get a unique grouping of bent, bit and crunched designs. There’s over 30 different designs, so rest assured that you’ll be pleased with the assortment. I like ’em lots.

This mirror is something to make note of, as it’s got lots of tiny names all over it. I’m assuming the foggy gentleman is present only to show the mirrory-ness, so don’t fret. Unfortunately the designer is “not known” at the moment, so if you’d like to take credit, certainly let us know.

Made out of solid mango wood, this little stool could be considered a steal for the price. Yesterday I saw something really very quite similar for about four times as much. It had a little bit more character to it, and a slightly different shape, but I’m guessing if you’re pinching pennies certain sacrifices are necessary.

So has anybody bought any of this yet? I’m really quite curious to know how it looks. Is it of decent quality? For those of you that haven’t seen or heard about Target’s new take on furniture (or rather, it’s forray into the affordable modernish crowd of furniture), this is a sample of some of the “Vintage Modern” collection. It looks pretty promising, but who knows.

Here we go again with the 2d to 3d design. This in/out box would be perfect for all your work-pile separating needs. It has a unique dual-surface mechanism which prevents the mingling of paperwork that has yet to be worked on with paperwork that needs to be worked on.

A modern take on an old theme: a lacquered metal frame features the favorite deers and trees of the traditional cuckoo clock. I’ve never thought I would put a cuckoo clock in my home (brings to mind plastic-covered upholstery and taxidermy for some reason), but I think this one has changed my mind.

Looking for a kettle? This one is really quite nice; it is what it is, nothing crazy or unnecessary about it.
