If you’re looking for a good-looking vase, here it is. I’m really falling in love with the color peeking out from inside as well as the wood grain and overall shape. It might just be one of those things that we’re just gonna have to buy, whether we need it or not. I think the ebony/blue one is calling out my name (or maybe just my credit card number).

I know, I’m sorry, it’s another slightly-more-than-you-can-afford thing, but I can’t help myself. Cast resin furniture is one of my weaknesses, and this chair is really so completely lovely. The chairs are cast sequentially in layers while on their side, which makes the color combinations different and unique…also, it has a stainless steel skeleton so you won’t break it.

Oh, what the hell (or heck, if you prefer). It’s a gold-plated comedy nose necklace! It’s designed by Marcel Wanders, and I personally think he’s got to be one of the best designers out there simply based on this product here (I like his other stuff quite a bit, but I’m just saying, this takes the cake). Funniness. There’s some bad news though- I couldn’t find a U.S. retailer, so if you want it, you’re gonna have to deal with the whole overseas shipping thing.

I’m quite fond of this little Milk Jug Vase. It adds just the perfect amount of humor to any tabletop setting. You could even use it as a serving piece…fancy that, putting milk in the Milk Jug. Each is hand-cast of porcelain; Hand wash only.

The rnd_time (“random time”) clock allows you to randomly spread the hours out to your heart’s desire.

For those of you afraid of the whole “random” process, let’s reenergize the geometry part of your brain. There are 360° in a circle. Using a compass and a protractor, draw a circle on a sheet of paper and draw a line at every 30° mark (360°/12=30°). Nail the paper to the wall in the center of the circle (where you’d like the hands of the clock to go). Use a level to make sure one of the lines is completely horizontal. Tie a long string to the center nail and stretch it out along the 12 o’clock line. Put another nail anywhere along the string to determine placement of the 12 o’clock cube. Now do that 11 more times. Tear off the paper and then place each cube on the appropriate nail. That was easy!

These are decent stackable “storage squares” for reasonable prices…Each Qube is available in burnt maple or espresso and is made with a sturdy laminate finish. The divider/shelf things are steel, so that’s kind of different and sturdy too. You could use them for all sorts of things: bathroom towels and stuff, organizing your office, living room, or the wine qubes for your dining room. And the Container Store says they’re easy to assemble.

Well, you’ve got to know that most of anything designed by Verner Panton is undeniably “fun” as it is (semi-) functional. That’s a broad statement of mine, and maybe somebody disagrees, but for now, I’m sticking to it. Here’s what Hive Modern’s site has to say about it:

“From the Danish company that gave us the bean-bag, comes the “Panto-Pop” designed by Verner Panton. Originally designed for Visiona 2 at the 1970 Cologne Furniture Fair, very few examples were produced and it wasn’t until 1999 that Innovation Randers of Denmark put it into serial production.”

I saw these on design*sponge a while back and hesitated posting them because the shop’s overseas and I thought that wouldn’t be too convenient…BUT I kept thinking about them and suddenly realized that I might just have to post them anyways, regardless of the shipping costs/time.

It’s laser-cut, powder-coated steel with an oh-so-ever romantic preforated floral design…I especially love the contrasting color inside. And, it’s suitable for both indoor or outdoor use. Available in white with pink interior, graphite black with pink interior, or graphite black with white interior (on some of the pieces, but not all). Delivery outside Lithuania usually takes up to 4 weeks; Ona (that’s the store) ships everywhere. I guess I should mention there are other dimensions/designs-I encourage you to investigate further if you’re interested.

The versatile Alu Upholstered bed system designed by Luciano Bertoncini includes a reclinable headboard which has 3 positions (0°, 30° and 45°).
