It’s got the bullet points to prove itself (see website). Mid-century inspiration, new, and affordable?? I promise, it’s true. Plus it’s got a stain-repellant fabric.

I’ve seen this chair around on a couple of different sites, and this particular site seems to have the best price. If you go with a felt/fabric instead of the leather, the price drops about $300…
plywood seat and multy-density polyurethane foam.

So- ignore the crap on this table and pay attention to the lines. Suprisingly affordable too.

Okay, so maybe this isn’t what you’re expecting to spend on the light above your dining table, but (!) you have to at least look at this one. It’s an interactive lighting fixture of love letters in all different sorts of languages, AND you’re supposed to participate. Or you can if you want to. Several blank pages are included, and you can add your prose by attaching your letter to the tiny clips. (don’t worry, it’s heat resistant frosted glass.) Available in the two sizes below (see website for more details). (and, there’s free shippping within U.S.).

So, I can basically afford a bookend of this modular bookcase. Look at it though, it’s quite nice. The book-stops that you see hold the units together…which is pretty smart, and it’s made of plywood honeycomb that’s lacquered (in white macroter finishing). (I don’t know what macroter finishing is, but I’m sure you could find out.)

Designed by Marc Newson, this chair from Magis is sure to turn heads. I mean, look at it. It’s made of polythylene with polyurethane seat and back cushions. You have your pick of red or blue woolen covers.

What’s amazing about this small trolly/side table is that it is available in more than 200 colors…so, if you need a particular specific shade, you’re in luck.
Painted solid steel with castors.

I can’t help but love this lamp. It looks like crystal, but is made entirely in transparent polycarbonate-and, if that doesn’t do it for you, it can be assembled at three different heights: 27″, 29″ and 31″.
Also available in black(!).

So everyone’s abuzz about this table for so many very good reasons. Right now, it’s a tiny too bit expensive (see price below) for me to say that you should go out and buy it, but man, we can all appreciate it while waiting for a more affordable version to grace our retail worlds. It’s in limited production currently (and therefore available through Unica).

Continuing on in the spirit of things shaped like the letter ‘s’, here’s a bench by designer Michael Cannamela for 3 Square Design. Very “sexy”, as they say.
