Designed by Matthew Waldman in 1997, yet looks like it was designed today (or, I suppose, tomorrow). Made of stainless steel with mineral crystal, quartz movement, LCD, and leather strap. Blue backlight, date, water-resistant.

Um. I’m embarrassed to say where I found this. But you can see it’s not too shabby…and it doesn’t come with that uncomfortable feeling that you had in 10th grade. There’s three different reclining positions, so you can customize your comfort (so to speak), and rolling casters keep this lounger where you want it. Metal frame with thick, cotton-covered cushion.

This one is pretty good, I think. Picking a sofa is hard because there are so many choices to make…one of which is how much to spend. I personally think you get what you pay for (most of the time) so, here’s a sofa that has nothing to hide. This one might not be the best for those of you with poor organizational skills, or maybe it would, but you’d have to spring for some kind of storage…But, it looks quite nice. DWR also provides an option to buy a keyboard system thingy ($198) to install underneath.

Stackable shelving that is painless to put together (no tools!)…and you can design your own. I think that’s the best part.

Oh man. This is something special. Maybe you’ve seen her stuff before, maybe not. I saw a picture of one of her designs months ago and only recently found the name to match the plate. Sarah Cihat rehabilitates discarded dishware by applying templates/designs, painting and then reglazing. As you can see, the results are spectacluar. I might have to buy some. Or learn glazing techniques.

This would be great for people who don’t have a lot of storage space in the kitchen. You have to be tidy though or it could quickly turn into an eyesore.
