Not a bad price for a 100% handwoven wool rug, especially with the nice black/white graphic image.

The price is certainly right, but the drawback is a minimum purchase of four. I do like the lightness of the legs and the overall sleekness and ‘edge’…

The Mathmos LED lights are so cool and would be perfect for washing a room in color. This one is 8″ across and can be used on a table top or wall mounted. It cycles through the color spectrum and if you find one you like, you can press the light to make it stay there. It would also be great for a kids room.

So nice to see a simple design done in such a clever way.
“The basic intention in creating this collection was to play with the conventional form of the carpet, interrupting it with a simple line weaving in and out of its geometry as the characteristic feature of each model.”

As a container to hold magazines or other miscellany, this is certainly different from others in its class. It’s so nice to see the urn/vase shape and a matte black surface instead of minor variations on stainless steel boxes. Also worth mentioning: the footprint of this magazine rack is sized small for tight spaces.

The oversized folds of this lamp would be a great accent/texture; it’d add some interest by messing around with the normal scale of lampshades.

I was in a great modern house this week and they had this perfect, sturdy dining table. I was surprised to find out that it was the Big Sur Dining Table from Crate and Barrel.
“The rustic beauty of Big Sur lies in its solid European white oak with naturally occuring splits, cracks and knots. Its intricate, narrow grain is produced by a colder climate, making each piece unique. Supporting the table are four hefty legs, each crafted of a single piece of heartwood, exposing the tree’s inner rings.”
โข Solid white oak
โข Wood pegging detail on top
โข Each leg crafted of heartwood and kiln-dried for six months for stability
โข Seats up to six
โข Polished wax finish allows wood to gain character as it ages
