Simple and effective…
“designed by Arian Brekveld; The wine cooler is made of terra-cotta, porous
pottery. The shape is a standard bourdeaux bottle. The cooler saturates itself
in seconds when immersed in water. The water on the outside starts to
evaporate and cools the inside, an old Roman principle.”

I like the bench, though I might be more likely to describe it as a bench with holes drilled into it rather than ‘circles of air’, but, hey, it sure sounds nicer…
“Architect Thomas Sandell breathes life into his wood with this impressive table design. Circles of air are sculpted into this endpiece, the perfect complement to its living, vibrant finish.”

This is such a good sized mirror to be used in any room of the house…
“The Minimal Mirror’s thin, cleanly finished, extruded aluminum frame maximizes the reflective surface while allowing the lightweight and corrosion resistant design to be used in damp areas such as a kitchen, bathroom or restaurant. The design’s precise, contract-quality construction is evident in the frame’s neat corners and edges. Keyhole mounting on the back allows it to be hung horizontally or vertically. Made in Italy.”

Sometimes when “mirrored” and “chrome” are adjectives used to decribe an object, cringes are seen or felt (not for me, of course, because I’m partial to that type of thing). This particular lamp are both of these things, yet remain elegant, truly embodying perhaps the best elements of “distincive” designs of the 60’s and 70’s…

For anyone who even still uses a regular ol’ phone, this one is quite modern without being too pretentious in the bells and whistles category. Again, simplicity is such a nice attribute…
“Sleek and chic in silver and black, the Jacob Jensen T-1 telephone is as light and comfortable as it is attractive. Headset and dial pad reside on separate elements of the phone, which features redial, 2 direct memory keys, and 10 secondary memory keys. The base can be mounted on a wall or placed freestanding on a table. Options include adjustable ring tone volume and PABX (switchboard) connectivity. An ideal phone for home or office.”

I’m having fantasies of becoming an urban nomad, roaming from one metropolitan city to the next. I’m planning on having a small cadre of products that can be flat-packed and easily transported. This is my first official entry to that effect. Let’s see how it goes.
