That’s right, it’s a lamp. The Mr. N LED Table Lamp will most likely get a few double takes thanks to its outside illuminated surface. Shaped like a lowercase ‘n’, the lamp uses advanced light panel technology to emit a soft, warm glow that’s easy to control and adjust with a one-finger touch. Mr N’s dimensions are small- 7.5″ H x 4.30″ W x 3.2″ D- so it could easily fit on a smaller desk, bookshelf, or table.

Remember this little guy? The Pixo Lamp incorporates a USB port in its base, which means more convenience when charging our mobile devices. However many times you’ve reached behind your sofa/bed/table/desk to pick up a charging cable, you know it’s been too many.

There are other impressive things about this lamp (360 degree rotating head, three-axis articulating stem, uses just five watts thanks to low-energy LEDs, etc.) but all we’re going to appreciate right now is the USB port (Hat tip to designers Pablo and Fernando Pardo for this small yet significant detail). These bright Twergi Spice Grinders have a vintage appeal that’s bound to stay timeless thanks to their classic wood-turned shapes and bold red/black/yellow color scheme. Italian designer Ettore Sottsass and his team of designers were responsible for Alessi’s range of wooden products during the 80s and 90s, and, thankfully, they created these beech wood grinders that highlight some of the wiser color combinations of two rather daring (and some might say questionable) design decades.

Minimal/modern desks are hard to find, especially when storage is a necessity. I’ve been on a search for an update to my own home office desk, and while this Asplund Tati Desk lacks the file drawer I so desperately need, it does possess the slender, sleek lines and no-fuss styling that I’ve been after. So, if you’re organized enough (i.e.completely paperless) to not need several deep storage drawers, then this little desk might just be a good fit.

You’ve seen the Aura Media Unit featured here before, but this is the Aura Credenza and it might just be the answer to your storage issues. Do you think people would look at me funny if I chose to eat all of my meals with a kids’ cutlery set? Not if they recognized Arne Jacobsen’s typography, right? This four-piece alphabet cutlery set is pretty cute, and, if I had kids, I would insist they use these until they could say the alphabet forwards and backwards. This set was designed by Arne’s grandson Tobias Jacobsen, and belongs to the Design Letters tableware set.
