Every once in a while I’ll have to plug in the name of a piece into BLTD’s search bar to see if we’ve posted it before, which is no surprise, really, considering there’s over 8,000 posts and my memory refuses to remember them all. Such was the case with this Babel Shelving System. It’s modular, so you can place the block modules in the layout you desire, as long as you maintain a staggered design to keep it structurally sound. I smell a DIY opportunity for someone crafty with a table saw and a whole lot of patience (and math skills). However, if you avoid DIY projects like the plague, luckily the pricing isn’t so prohibitive that you can’t save up for it (eventually).

Oh, Poketo, what nice stationery you have. This grid notepad is perfect for the desk- there’s room enough to organize anyone’s week, with space for a lengthy to-do list along with other scribbles that may or may not happen while on a conference call.

There’s no excuse for disarray when you have an appropriate place for everything, so make sure everything has an appropriate place. Sounds easy enough, but then you actually have to move your limbs to buy, and then install, hooks for coats and accessories so they don’t end up on the chair, bed, or (gasp) floor. Jonah Takagi’s wooden Peg Wall Hook might make the whole experience easier, as you’ll have a nice array of colors to reward you each time you hang your hat, coat, or scarf in the right spot.

The Workstead 3 Arm Chandelier caught my eye again in a small yet lovely interior the other day (thanks Kris for the link), and was reminded of how the arms allow for such versatility in terms of dimensions. As a horizontal fixture, it hangs 36″ from the ceiling, however, if you choose to take advantage of the vertical length, you’ll have up to a 62″ drop. That is a dramatic difference, and allows for different moods depending on the height of the light bulbs. I’m planning on adding this chandelier to my ‘save-up-for-pronto’ list.

Let’s play the guessing game: what the heck is the item shown above? Despite looking like some sort of futuristic alien egg, it serves a useful purpose when it comes to oenology. Smokey Purple, please. Or Pewter… or one of the other several lovely colors paired with smoke on ash wood (or white oak). Primary colors might not be your thing, but you might want to reconsider when it comes to buying the next storage piece for your home, as Moooi has some new color options for their Paper Collection by Studio Job.
