Flat packable shelving usually brings to mind heavy boxes and a fair amount of cursing during assembly. In contrast, this low shelving system by Calen Knauf has no heavy wood composite pieces and looks pretty simple to put together. It’s a flower chain: a 5 foot long chain of loops to hold small pots of plants and flowers. Could be a great fit for small spaces where a little greenery is needed, don’t you think? With a little elbow grease and a sewing machine, you might be able to whip up one of these yourself, but for those of you that don’t have either, luckily you can purchase however many you want. And, if you’d like a bigger version, sit tight; an 8 foot long version that holds bigger pots will be available next spring.

If you’ve ever found yourself cupping your hand around the iPad’s speaker in order to get a louder or clearer sound, take note of this little ‘ear’ that clips onto the iPad’s corner. Sounds are projected towards you for better hearing and higher frequencies get a bigger boost.

Seeing as it’s hot outside and will stay that way for a while yet, it’s best to keep hydrated. And what better way to keep water on hand than with a carafe?
