The Shed by Richard Peters Associates

This 800-square-foot sustainable home in Sydney started out as a humble industrial shed. If you always see potential in old buildings, it’ll probably whet your appetite for your own remodel, so be careful.

Core Bamboo Glass Honey Jar

This is for all the honey lovers out there. There’s a lot of ceramic honey jars out there, but it’s a little hard to find one that isn’t too Winnie the Pooh, if you know what I mean. This one from Core Bamboo has a handy lid/dipper to make for easy serving. When not in use, the lid keeps the jar sealed for freshness.

inLove Custom Hardwood Flooring

If you’re looking for a hardwood flooring in a custom color, you’ll be more than happy to see the options from this particular collection. However, have a long hard think about the more adventurous colors, as it would be a very sad thing to have them installed and paid for only to find out that the color is really wrong for the space. For instance, this Blossom Red wouldn’t work everywhere; perhaps err on the side of caution with a more subtle or deeper shade of the color you prefer. Also, ‘custom’ usually means a bit more money out of pocket, so you might even want to get a design pro’s advice before making your selection.

Typo Pill Cases

Keep your crazy pills and vitamins sorted appropriately with these clever little cases that resemble keys of a keyboard. Choose between the typo pill case 3, a set of 3 pill cases that look like the Shift, Esc and Ctrl keys, or the typo pill case 7, a case with 7 compartments marked with the first letter of the seven days of the week. Designed by Matt Carr.

Patricia Urquiola Wire Baskets

Update: Two of these three wire baskets by Patricia Urquiola are now more than half off, which means you just might be able to afford one or two. Sawyer Chair

Update: Now on sale for $199 (org.$249). Pretty reasonable price. Plus, it’s an excellent time to get your summer seating sorted.

CB2 is at it again with fantastic outdoor furniture. This chair is a no brainer for those of you that like a tad bit of traditional thrown in with your modern day sensibilities. It’s a thoroughly updated adirondack chair with the same low lounge look, yet with a modernized treatment to its angles and joints. Plus, it fits a smaller budget just fine.

Elkay Cutting Boards

Cutting boards with cutouts: a small alteration that helps guide food into/onto a prep bowl or plate. One of these boards might just fit your sink, but check to make sure your undermount has a minimum of 1/2″ reveal. Elkay has a whole range of sinks and accessories, so if neither of these fit your specifications, you might check out their other offerings.

Eva Solo’s Hurricane Lamp

Have you sorted out your outdoor lighting situation yet? If not, do consider this hurricane lamp from Eva Solo. Two small but important details: it has a silicone base to make removing any wax easy (simply bend the base) and a hole at the bottom to let in air to reduce sooting. Use the handle to suspend from trees or do without for a simpler look on tables and floors.

Triangle Notebook

Update: Remember this guy? MoMA has it in stock again, with a slight modification to its branding (now it says ‘MoMA Triangle Notebook’).

I’m not quite sure how a triangular shape notebook would benefit those of us that like notebooks, other than for novelty’s sake, but maybe that’s reason enough. (For example, I thought I’d skip posting this, but I kept coming back to it.) This notebook belongs to MoMA’s Destination: Istanbul, which means it’s available for a limited time only.

Features 144 ruled pages and a durable black fabric cover.
Made in Turkey
Size: 9l x 9w x .5″h.

    Rockport and Scottsdale Croquet Set

Do you know just how many croquet sets are available online? Hundreds, to say the least. I’ve no idea which set is the best to steer you towards, but I do like the look of the ones from The North Meadow. The Rockport 4 Player Set is $124, while the Scottsdale 6 Player Croquet Set is $185. Not inexpensive, but if you’re looking something that will last, they’ll most likely be better than the cheaper options.

Recycled Moon, Thermometer and Time Clock

If you sell seashells by the seashore, you’d do well to have a clock that keeps track of the tide. This recycled (made from vending machine coffee cups) clock has temperature and time as well, so you’ll have all the information you need when you set out. Weather proof.

    Multi-Tool

Now, don’t get too excited, this isn’t the sort of thing you’d carry around in your pocket. It’s a bit big for that, unless you’ve huge pockets, and it’s probably more suited for your bag than carrying it around in its nylon carrying case on your belt loop (or maybe you can pull that look off, who knows). The Multi-Tool has “a hammer, adjustable wrench, pliers, wire cutter, file, blades, and a screwdriver with a twelve-piece bit set concealed in the handle.” If that’s not enough for you, I don’t know what is.

    Cork Tray

It’s a cork tray. You might think it’s a little ho-hum/boring, but I’d wager a guess it would be entirely useful when it comes to shuttling things back and forth from the kitchen to table (or sofa, if that’s your preferred spot). Cork is renewable and recyclable, as you know, but the main function here is that it would keep your cups of tea/biscuits/etc. from sliding around and making a mess. However, if you should spill, no worries, as it can be wiped clean with a wet cloth.

Too beautiful to hide hot water bottle

Yup, that’s right, it’s a hot water bottle. The outer lining is covered in soft flocking, which makes it your best huggable friend when you’re feeling under the weather. However, such stylish comfort isn’t cheap; you’ll be parting with $90 for this hot water bottle.
