The Alarm dock by Jonas Damon is now available in all sorts of bright hues: blue, green, orange, pink, red, and yellow. Don’t worry, though, there’s still the original in beech wood ($40) as well as the black and white versions. You’ll have to be patient for the color options, as the approximate ship date is early July.

If you’ve never completed a kitchen remodel, you and I had something in common 7 weeks ago. Fast forward to last week, to my mostly new kitchen (shown above) which sports white shiny cabinets, an almost white Silestone countertop and an off white porcelain backsplash. White, white, white. Well, the more persnickety among us will be thrilled to learn that this table has multiple color configurations. That’s right, you can mix materials as you wish. Do you want a white top with oak legs? An all grey table? All black? A white table with a green apron? No problem, TAF Architects has seen to those and several more options. 64 options, to be exact. Now, the issue is, just which color combination do you want? (Personally, I like the black top with oak legs.)

Finding the perfect rug is a difficult task, no matter what your budget might be. Color, pattern, size, and quality are all factors in the decision making process and compromise is often necessary to avoid living with bare floors for months on end. Now, this Facet Rug ticks the pattern box, as facets are excellent paired with all sorts of styles, and is available in three color options, all well within the neutral color boundaries. Do be aware that this is a flat woven rug (often called a Dhurrie), so it doesn’t have a thick pile that you might be used to, but it is lightweight and somewhat portable. Sizes include a runner, a 5’x8′, and an 8’x10′.

Actually, the whole I’m-influenced-by-science-and-taxidermy trend has sort of come and gone (though it could be argued that abc home carries them is proof to the contrary), so you’re most likely in safe territory to add a few to your collection without getting the icky ‘trendy’ label. Do you have a proper sugar and creamer set? Not the end of the world if you don’t, of course, but it’s something to consider if you use sugar and cream/milk consistently in your coffee or tea.
