Have you checked out ideacious? It’s similar to Kickstarter in that creators post projects that need backing for manufacturing, and buyers order products that are currently available or ‘pre-order’ a product before it’s made. However, if a buyer pre-orders an item, that’s an opportunity to invest and possibly make some money once it goes into production. Read their how ideacious works page for a better explanation. Still looking for a vertical garden solution? This system from Florafelt looks super easy to use and has a decent price tag. It’s made from 100% recycled PET plastic felt attached to a rigid plastic panel and you can mount the whole thing to a wall or hang from mounting tabs. This work table caught my eye the last time I visited West Elm (had to check out the Glass Greenhouse in person), and despite its rather small footprint, it’s a great price. While the size is a tad small for my own personal workspace, it would do well in a tight spot or as an entryway console.

Check out this small plastic Bloccon (“block” + “icon”) watering can by designer Kazuya Washio. A little Lego-ish, isn’t it? It’s pretty small (350ml), so keep in mind it’s appropriate for house plants rather than a large garden.

These stacking drawers are somewhere in between the dresser category and a side table with storage. While the mix-and-match look might not fit everyone’s taste, I can see how the versatility of this would be handy to have if you prefer to change things around often.

These washi tape hooks sure are cute, aren’t they? Surprisingly enough, they’re made of tracing paper and can hold up to 50 grams (not a whole lot, but enough for small tools). They’d be perfect for a workspace/craft area.

If you’ve still not found a water bottle that meets your aesthetic expectations, take a look at the Bkr Bottle. Chances are you’ve heard of Iris Hantverk (or SRF Hantverk), the Swedish company that handcrafts brushes using traditional techniques. I’ve been a fan for a while now and find myself more often than not disappointed that retailers seem to stock only a few pieces of the vast collection. Of course, you can order the brushes directly through Iris Hantverk, but unfortunately their website isn’t the easiest to navigate. So, for your perusal (should you be interested), here are a few retailers that stock a considerable amount of the collection.

Those of you with experience in filming might recognize the ‘bounce’ reflection/diffusion lighting technique that is utilized in this lamp by Jonah Takagi. (I’d also guess most of you without filming experience will be able to ascertain why it’s called ‘bounce’.) I particularly like the blue and yellow cord color choices. FSC Certified Oak and powdercoated steel.
