Moleskine Kindle Cover

It’s about time this happened. I must have spent a good hour or so searching for a good kindle case/cover, only to settle on the OCTOVO Kindle Sleeve for lack of a better option*. If this had been available, I would have snapped it up in a second. A suede lining and double-stitched corner elastic straps to keep Kindle in place, and for notes, there’s a Moleskine reporter-style notebook.

Fits 6″ Latest Generation Kindle.

*I do like the Octovo sleeve, by the way. It’s super slim and the Kindle slips in nice and snug. There’s also no worries about screen damage as it’s a sleeve instead of a book-style cover.

OlioBoard

I just spent way too much time messing around with this moodboard web-app thing. It’s interior design focused, and pretty easy to use, so it’s perfect for playing around with how you want your space to feel. I noticed the ‘upload your own item’ option too late, but I’d encourage you to use it since the range of items seems just a tiny bit narrow at this point in time. (To be fair though, maybe that’s because I’m used to BLTD having 5000+ modern home furnishings to search through.)

Metro Stool

Inspired by the graphic style of metropolitan subway maps, this stool becomes a bench when several are placed together. The stool also could be an interesting side table if need be.

Wrongwoods Small Sideboard

You probably recognize this little sideboard as a collaboration between designer Sebastian Wrong and artist Richard Woods. Brought together by Established & Sons’ program of ‘Collaborations’, they’ve certainly made an excellent collection of interesting cabinets together, varying in size and price, of course. The small sideboard (shown above) has two sliding doors and internal shelves.

Also, just so you know, the least expensive item in the collection is the Wrongwood’s Night Table with the price tag of $2,170.00… bad news for the budget conscious.

Butt Stool

Yep, the butt stool. Designed by Established & Sons, it’s stackable and plastic (outdoor/storage points) plus it’s got an ergonomic top that you’ll recognize from tractor seats. Three holes drilled in the top make it easy to lift and move.

MIO’s Pop-Up Basket

Get this, this flat-packed steel basket can be stretched to whatever height you want. So, in its shortened size, it’s a small basket for odds and ends; in its heightened size it could be an umbrella stand or recycling bin or whatever else you can think of. There’s also a Bicycle Pop-Up Basket ($75) that looks like it’d be pretty handy to have as well. (Image shown below.)

Masayuki Kurokawa’s concept behind these Shakers was to see the contents, so that in addition to regular salt and pepper containers, they could also be used for all sorts of seasonings. Each is hand-blown by Shotoku Glass Co., who used to make lightbulbs in Japan.

Lyndsay and Fitzhugh’s Brooklyn Home

Lovely, isn’t it? Kudos to Lyndsay and Fitzhugh for making such a light and bright space. If you’ve got the time, take a look at their home through Todd Selby’s lens. There’s some great shots of vignettes and such.

Moleskine Unitied States Cities

That’s right, Moleskine has added quite a few United States cities to its collection of city notebooks. The city map is invaluable, and there’s tons of room for making notes on shops and restaurants to revisit (or avoid). I fully recommend getting whichever one for exploring whatever city you’re visiting, as I’ve found mine extremely handy to have.
