Take a look at the dimensions before you get too attached; it’s a kid’s stool. Too bad it isn’t also available in a bigger version, but for those of you with little offspring now you have a very smart/cute option for their playroom seating.

Utilitarian materials and a simple design set this sleeve apart from the pack. At first the no-zipper worried me a little, but upon further inspection the elastic bands seem to do the job just fine. It’s really the materials that stand out though- asphalt grey felt with a large vegetable-tanned leather pocket give a natural feel, which is a nice balance to the device they protect.

This notebook might not look like much, but that’s precisely the point. No logos, subltle barely-there white lines on the pages, and it opens fully flat. So while all these things are small details, added up together it makes for a notebook that doesn’t get it the way of your drawing/writing.

It’s not often that you see green done well as an overall color theme, but this room styled by Simon Carver has me hooked. The softness of hue is complemented by the black/white/natural accents and would be an excellent choice for a bedroom, as it seems to absorb just the right amount of light.

Check out this playhouse designed by architect Robin Hannah. It stores flat and slots together for easy set up. Since it’s made in New Zealand (with sustainably grown pine, fyi), you’ll have to email to get a price for shipping.
