This magnetic map uses “cylindrical equal area projection” which means countries are correct proportionally. Funny how this map looks a little different than the ones hanging in our elementary schools, isn’t it? Each size map features a different color palette; the larger size (shown above) is yellow/green while the smaller size is pink/green.
Stainless steel magnets included.

We’ve posted laptop sleeve envelope lookalikes before (see Undercover and Interoffice sleeves) but this leather version takes it up a notch. It certainly has a finer look to it than the previous noted sleeves, and will be a nod to the manila envelope without being mistaken for one. Call me crazy, but I almost prefer the other ones simply because they are more ‘undercover’ and affordable.
Small will fit the MacBook 13″ or MacBook Air, while Large fits the MacBook Pro 15″.

Made entirely of 100% recyclable cardboard, this white gloss desk knocks the socks off of practically every other desk out there. At £151.00 (~$225), it’s super affordable, has a cable management system (very important) and can be assembled in a few minutes. If you move around a lot, the assembly/disassembly of furniture should not be taken lightly, nor should you miss the fact that this desk is super light and super strong. Now, if only a US retailer would pick it up, I’m sure exclamations of joy would be heard throughout the 50 states.

You might have seen Tom Dixon’s Pressed Glass Pendants making the rounds on the design circuit, but have you seen these babies? These dense glass pendants have that satisfying green tint that signifies thickness and weight and the compact forms are most pleasing in shape.

Just yesterday I updated the post of this chair from last year, as the price had increased from just under $700.00 to $1,459.00. Now, I’ve no idea how MoMA has the price of $825.00, but it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than $1,500.00. Plus, knowing that it can go outdoors as well is all the more reason to snap it up.

Somehow I missed Eskayel’s initial appearance last year, but I’m sure glad I ran across their collection yesterday. It’s absolutely lovely. Images are taken from original paintings by artist Shanan Campanaro, which are then flipped and mirrored (a.k.a. ‘kaleidoscoped’) to create the wallpaper design. Rolls aren’t cheap, of course, but what do you expect of something so beautiful?
There’s a wide selection of designs to choose from, and custom orders are also accepted. If you’re not needing wallpaper, you might want to take a look at the pillows too, as they’re a much more affordable option. Also, DailyCandy has a quick video interview with Shanan Campanaro, if you’re interested.
