Often I’m tempted to fill my all walls with art and photos jammed all together, but these two smaller workspace shots that I ran across yesterday remind me that sometimes simple editing and a little breathing room can make much more of an impact.

These would be super handy to own if you happen to move around a lot. Whether you stack them for book storage or use them as small tables, they’re certainly a smart upgrade from plastic milk crates (which we all had at one point in our lives, so don’t feel bad if you’re guilty of owning them now). I’m planning on updating our bathroom once we eventually move back to the US, and so far these two photos top the list of my starting reference point. Whoa. How amazing is this storage unit? It sort of reminds me of those shoe closet hanger thingies except bigger/better/stranger. I wonder if this could be replicated in a DIY sense, for those of us that can’t afford the price tag? I can see it working well for newspapers or magazines, or even to store clothes (if you can afford such a thing purely for wardrobe purposes).

A coffee table inspired by pork ribs sounds frankly more than a little unappetizing, however once you get past the food connotation, the modular form makes sense.
