If you’re into the real estate market in Austin, you might be interested to know the Dollahite house is on the market. Featured in Dwell a while back, it’s an excellent example of how a teardown house can be salvaged back to life with impressive results. (Particularly interesting to me is the simple modern landscaping (as shown top right)…mostly how it’s been added to/matured since the first photo was taken.)

These are all obviously more of an eye-candy sort of thing, but if you’ve got buckets and buckets of cash then I guess you’re allowed to go for it. There’s really too much to show from the whole collection, so if you like any of the above, you might want to check out other color options and pieces.

I like the idea of using these as tiny planters for succulents (as suggested). Take note of the size; they’re pretty tiny.
Square sake cups aren’t just for squares or sake for that matter. These delicate porcelain cups are designed for sake, but think how cute they would be with little succulents in them lined up on the windowsill.
White porcelain, so fine you can almost see through it, makes sipping sake sublime.
Set of six mostly square cups.
Each cup measures approximately 1.5″ x 1.5″.

Suck UK has done a very fun collaboration with It’s Pop It’s Art in creating mugs decorated with lyrics from a range of classic songs. I could only find one place to purchase them so far, but will add others as the list grows.
Feeling a bit metal? Then rock out with a mug of Motorhead coffee. Just had a hard day of freedom fighting? Then sup some tea from the Marvin Gaye mug. Or maybe you’ve just perfected your Bobby Gillespie hair, Primal Scream it is then. For whatever musical mood you’re in there is a lovingly designed mug to accompany it.

Yes, this is more expensive than any door knocker you’ll find at your local hardware store. It’s also an exponentially nicer design and is sure to dress up your entrance a bajillion times more than the others available.
This bronze door knocker brings old world craftsmanship and unadorned utility together to create a minimalist sculpture. The hefty weight of the handle feels good in your hand, and has slightly recessed sides to intuitively grasp. The bronze is a living finish patina, which will naturally wear and color according to use and environment.

Hmm, this could go indoors or out (as long as it’s protected). Not bad for a hefty looking coffee table…
Aggregate of marble, granite, stone and natural fibers cements a sculptural, floating cantilever that reminds us of Wright’s Fallingwater. Clear non-toxic wax finish protects. Maintain table’s honed beauty and natural intonations with car wax or stone floor polish. Handmade in an eco-friendly workshop powered without consumption of fossil fuels to avoid CO2 loads. Indoor and protected outdoor use.

Okay, hear me out: ever since seeing this photo (styled by Laura Fulmine), I’ve kinda liked jute rugs in woven shapes and patterns. Besides, there’s something really nice about natural materials in modern spaces. So, of course I have to post this one, because it’s even crazier than that one from the photo.
Handwoven from natural jute, our Flora rug is a nifty surprise for your floor. Add a bit of organic modernism to your room.

So, apparently harvesting Sugi trees in Japan is good for the environment (because they are becoming too plentiful) but not many designers will work with the wood because it’s overly soft and gnarly. So, Mr. Enzo Mari stepped up to the plate and designed the very nice (and expensive) Giulie collection to help with the problem. To read more, here’s an article from MetropolisMag.com entitled ‘No Love For Sugi’.
Hida Sangyo was founded in 1920 and is one of the leading wooden furniture makers of Japan, based in the Takayama region. This part of Japan is known for its excellent wood craftsmanship, originating back to the 7th Century Nara period. This collection is made predominately of the beautiful Japanese sugi wood, realized with state-of-the-art industrial technology of wood compression.
Designed by Enzo Mari.

Ooo, I like how simple these bags are, and the prices don’t hurt too terribly much either.
The Fatboy® bags are a colorful unisex collection for a very broad range of ages. Very strong materials with environmental friendly coatings were mixed with elements from the aviation and extreme sports industry. Parachute buckles, seatbelts, scuba diving zippers and noiseless Velcro are some examples for the original and highly detailed finishing on the outside and inside of the bags.
