Check out the subtle crook of the legs and the way the leather wraps around the frame- it’s little details like those that make me understand the price tag. Plus, I like how it looks hefty.

I can honestly say I’ve never admired Topiary Sheers before.

This Sawbuck chair displays typical Wegner style. A surefire classic.

In Dezeen’s latest newsletter they featured the Parabola House designed by Atelier Tekuto (funny enough, I had just been at their site yesterday, but hadn’t seen this particular gem). How the light filters through the space given the restrictions of privacy is surprising, and holy, that staircase is lovely.

This chair sounds like it’s been through the wringer a few times, but the end result does not disappoint. It’s easy to appreciate how the curving steel plate and solid beech provide a rich contrast- they give detail to an otherwise simple form.
“The Steelwood chair is a radical assemblage of two traditional materials: steel and wood. Unlike its plastic siblings, it is aimed to become more delicate through time, acquiring a patina over uses and years. The steel forming process required deep technological research due to the unique and intricate form. It led to the final process which requires almost ten successive stamping stages in order to get the right curvature.”

Call me a nutcase, but I have always wanted one of these, and have never seen any for sale until now. The texture and color and the sheer size…The only thing that keeps me from buying one right this second (for real) is the ‘more colors coming soon.’ (blue? black?)

The surface of these are smooth enough to look slightly like a cartoon version of a stump, which I find entirely amusing. A few of these next to a serious sofa could tone it down a bit and keep things humorous.

Even though this was published back in ’06, there were quite a few homes in this book I had not seen featured before. My favorites: Cell Brick House, Castle Groenhof, and, of course, Denis House.

Such a smart use of old magazines- I like the fact you can ‘wedge’ paper in between the pages too…

Think of all the places you could use these- I especially like that they can be folded away when not in use, and it also certainly helps that they are now on sale.
