Do you know the contentious history of the Cherner Chair? I didn’t, but I’m glad Cherner’s sons revived their father’s designs, and created the variation you see above. Task chairs often look terrible, especially with today’s advanced ergonomic technology, and the simplicity of such classic lines when applied to an office/desk area seating option is enormously appealing. Now that we’ve discussed its aesthetic appeal, someone just needs to test out how comfortable this chair may or may not be after a few hours’ work.

There’s no telling how much fun you’ll have with a spinning barstool, but enjoyment aside, there’s a practicality in having a stool rotate a complete 360 degrees: ease of use. We could play the whole ‘what-is-it’ game, but you probably possess enough deductive reasoning to guess the function of at least the top part of this set. That’s right, it’s an orange squeezer. Don’t go thinking it’s palm-sized, though, it’s approximately 9″ tall, so it will handle all manner of freakishly large citrus. What the what. Take a look at this mirror with its crazy geometric wire frame extending outwards, and tell me that it’s not a steal for a hundred smackers. Hmm, if you (or someone you know) prefers to have their favorite baubles out on display rather than tucked away in a box, this Prisma Organizer may just be the thing to keep things tidy(ish). Hang earrings from the double bar, or drape chain bracelets/necklaces across the square frame. Larger pieces can take pride of place at the organizer’s base. And, when free from any jewelry, it simply looks like a geometric sculpture on a shelf or tabletop.

The Brooklyn Desk has clever little storage boxes that slip over its edge, which means the boxes can be arranged to suit the user’s preferences exactly. Now, do keep in mind it is a smaller worktop, so it’s ideal for smaller people (and smaller spaces), and would be especially suitable for a growing child, as the desk height is adjustable (up to adult height). Perhaps with enough interest, Oeuf will make a larger version? One can hope.

A hidden top channel behind the brass-finished iron pegs makes this coat rack special. Keep mail, notes, and reminders propped up right where you put on (and take off) your coat/jacket, and chances are you’ll be less likely to ignore them. This looks a lot like the Muir Wall Coat Rack from Amenity (just flipped around), doesn’t it?

While these lamps are inspired by different bird wings, some of us may tend towards a stronger zoomorphic interpretation, for the lamp can appear to stand like a bird, with the solid oak shade as its head. A thin iron leg and base gives the lamp a perched stance, which takes up minimal room on a desktop or tight floor plan.
