This might look good in an entry way, or perhaps several lining a wall would look nice in a large space.

We’ve posted this before, but this is the first time I’ve seen it used as a record player stand with storage underneath for records.

Yesterday I was walking home after a run and a innocuous looking pre-teen girl holding a camera came up to me, followed by her father by a watchful 10 paces. She was working on a school project and wanted to know if I could help her. So she points the camera at me and handed me the mic and then fired away.
“What makes you happy?” she asked. After stammering and thinking for probably 20 seconds (which is a long time when you think about it) I rambled about how being with friends and family makes me happy.
What a sweet, innocent little school project to make adults question their whole existence.
Anyway, this wallet, although it has a jaded view on happiness, reminded me of that little moment. It may just make you think of what makes you happy the next time you take out your credit card.

We saw this at ICFF at the designboom booth. The frames are adjustable, allowing you to diffuse or concentrate the light depending on your mood.
“It’s a lamp made out of oak wood frames and the frames provide both the frame of the lamp as well as the lampshade. At 3.9″x3.9″x10.6″…it is a perfect size for any small surface that needs enhancing. The wooden frames are attached alongside one axis, allowing you to play with them and create different overlapping spaces, which in turn allow the light to stream out.”

“An ultra cool design approach delivers luxurious comfort in a handsome modern sectional. The polyester bouclé upholstery has a soft pebbled texture. The pillowtop cushions and the sleek, low seat deck make for an inviting place to relax after your busy day. Sectional styling means it’s versatile enough for a small space or able to be expanded considerably. Add and subtract pieces to adapt to your modern lifestyle and the shape of your room. The bottom cushion/pillowtop fastens with Velcro, which keeps it in place and and makes it easy to remove for cleaning. A strong and beautiful stainless steel base provides a solid foundation for this elegant modern furniture. Includes five matching pillows.”

I don’t know about you, but I love it when designers showcase and sell their wares directly on their websites. Benjamin Hubert has a great portfolio of interesting items on his site, and this soup bowl/spoon set is no exception.
The Earthenware soup/spoon set is formed from a single surface with a soft impression for the bowl and spoon holder.

These shelves are great for any application, such as in a study, office or living room. What’s great about them is that they rely on gravity for strength, so each shelf has a weight load of 110 lb for each shelf without putting any real stress on the wall.
