Do you need an expensive, tabletop mobile? No, you don’t, unless you’ve got stacks of money lying around. However, you might want a “poetic work of wood, piano wire, and concrete” by François Azambourg, as it’s a quiet piece of kinetic sculpture that’s sure to calm your mind. As we anxiously await spring, let’s preemptively add color to the dreariest room in the house with a colorful Spektral Mobile. Yes, it is very colorful and would be quite the brave decision for those of us prone to choosing grays, blacks, and browns when it comes to furnishings and accessories, but it would be nice to see a little rainbow color moving around in the breeze, wouldn’t it?

Fun! Check out this new mobile designed by Clara Von Zweikbergk. It’s a twelve-sided geometric shape (otherwise known as a dodecahedron, correct?) that has both warm and cool colors, all carefully chosen, of course, for the best contrast and visual appeal. At 12″x12″, it can hang by itself or in clusters.

When decorating a room, there are so many opportunites to hang something from the ceiling, which helps bring height to a space. I always love finding great candle globes that hang, or beautiful lamp pendants. Sometimes, though, you need something that is just decoration, something so beautiful it doesn’t need an alternative use; simply something that looks good and will fill a void.
