If you’re still searching for a Valentine’s Day gift, listen up. Unless you have the time to make something thoughtful (like your own valentine notebook), do not, I repeat, do not, resort to a heart shaped box of chocolates or fluffy teddy bear. It lacks all kinds of imagination and is just plain wrong. You can do better. Perhaps pick out a picture frame, or two, such as this Nearest is Dearest Picture Frame Set, and choose a few special photos of you and your sweetheart together. Whoa. If you’re not a fan of the taxidermy trend, have I got something to share with you. Bend Seating has trophy heads made of metal. And they’re geometric, engineered from a mathematical formula. And this makes them awesome. Wall art? Heck yeah. Coat hook? Yes please.

Give the gift of flowers, freshly printed flowers, that is. Designed by Sandra Bautista, Fresh Flowers is a 32 page newspaper with flowers replacing headlines. It would be a good gift for someone who has an appreciation for art and design, and definitely less tacky than plastic flowers. I personally would forgo the vase and dedicate a place on the wall for these and rotate in a new print every few weeks.
