The Alarm dock by Jonas Damon is now available in all sorts of bright hues: blue, green, orange, pink, red, and yellow. Don’t worry, though, there’s still the original in beech wood ($40) as well as the black and white versions. You’ll have to be patient for the color options, as the approximate ship date is early July.

Perhaps this would be a not-so-subtle reminder to be on time, either for yourself or for a loved one (because at that price you aren’t going to buy it for a coworker). At almost 18 inches wide, it would be hard to ignore, and with convex glass and a slim appearance, it is definitely easy to admire.

So, take note that ‘kitchen’ is in the title of this clock. We can all probably agree it’s a more casual item intended for use as a little family message center rather than an timepiece meant for a super modern sleek living area. It used to be $248 (yeesh!) but now has the slightly friendlier price tag of $99.95. It’s chalkboard, so of course you can write in your own numbers or notes, but what particularly stands out is it has two pullout holders for the chalk and eraser, making sure the tools are hidden yet at-the-ready.

Whenever it rains (as it is now) the thought of a hygrometer comes to mind, as if I’d actually pay attention to the humidity levels. If you’re more committed to understanding weather pattens than I, perhaps you’d use a combination thermometer and hygrometer wall clock? It’s not water proof (pity), so do be careful about where you place it… perhaps a covered patio area or porch? There’s also a few variations in color and design (see below).

It’s fair to say that there aren’t many clocks made of concrete. Though this particular hand made wall clock is striking in its choice of materials, I wonder just how heavy it is and what would be the means of securing it to the wall. The play of light and shadow would be interesting as it changes with time, for sure.

I realize I have a predilection for home accessories that would fit in a seven or eight year old kid’s room (see newly posted Ohoy wallpaper, and bltd tag: moon, just to name a couple of examples), and that’s probably why I can’t ignore this moon clock*. It’s glow-in-the-dark, of course, and was designed using 65 different actual photographs of the moon. It’s a shame those clips are there at the edges, but maybe one could ignore them, as they are rather small.

At first glance, this looks like an old faux wood grain alarm clock, but look a little closer and you’ll see an iPhone. Since almost everyone uses their cell phones as alarm clocks nowadays, Jonas Damon made this dock to allow for an iPhone to appear as the display, which means a more substantial form on your bedside table. Phone, of course, is not included.

This cardboard clock arrives at your door flat packed and unadorned, ready for you to assemble and decorate in whatever way you see fit. I’d be tempted to leave it as is, especially as it’s currently available with laser-etched detailing of a traditional pendulum clock’s face (limited edition of 50).
