Picky about notebooks? Me too, and I just bought/backed the Panobook, a notebook intended for your desk. What’s so special about it? Well, it has a panoramic format (160 mm x 288 mm) that fits nicely in front of or next to your keyboard. A subtle dot grid lets you draw layouts easily (most prominently, three 16:9 boxes or quadrants) and a slip case is included for storage. Nice!

Update: I think I may have found my forever notebook. I love the size and paper quality. I’ll reorder more whenever I get through my first three.

How’s this for an interesting alternative to the paper postcard? This mailing card has a specimen window for sharing a piece of your travel. Send a leaf*, a clipping from a newspaper or magazine, a ticket, etc., by inserting the item between the plastic sheets. Jot down your memory or message, and a moment is captured. Send it off to a favorite friend or family member.

Normann Copenhagen recruited Denmark-based designers Femmes Régionales to create over 200 different designs in the Daily Fiction collection. There’s 18 colors and four abstract terrazzo prints all over notebooks, stickers, pencil sharpeners, scissors, pens, pencils, and more… all that’s left to say is good luck picking which ones you’ve got to add to your collection.

If you’re going to keep track of your to-do’s (and to-don’ts?) on paper, you might as well make that paper pretty to look at. HAY Denmark has all sorts of lovely offerings in the way of home furnishings and accessories, and we’ll just be thankful that they took the time to apply some great graphics to stacks of note paper. Animal Mask Notecards! Fun, fun, and fun. Each and every recipient of your heartfelt scribblings will get twice the amount of enjoyment from whatever sentiments you share, because they’ll have a mask as well.
