Designed by Paul Gurry, this suspension lamp proves that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a striking light source. 12 interlocking saw-blade shapes are assembled to create a this rather large lamp. Assembly time takes about 15 minutes.

What the heck? I saw this and it hit me up side the head, or whatever the saying might be. Spectacular and intriguing, indeed.

I’ve seen this style of lamp everywhere lately. If you want a cheap solution, here’s a nice little bedside version.

I’ve long had a love affair with this little lamp. Designed in 1965 by Michael Lax, it remains a classic due to it’s simple design and localized light especially fitted for tableside/bedside reading. It’s available now in a limited commemorative edition from Lightolier.

“The telescoping neck adjusts from 6.5” to 15” and the lamp head swivels 360°. Light intensity can be changed from low to high using a switch located on the base. The heavy cube base anchors the design, and can be wall mounted for multi-directional sconce lighting.”

This light casts quite a nice delicate glow…and the size of it would go anywhere. Plus, it simply just leans against the wall, so you don’t have to mess with mounting it (and you can move it around fairly easily).

This lamp is delightful. You’d have to make sure you had a bulb/socket, but I really like the idea of a slight chime…would be peaceful I think.

This modular lighting system is based on combinable, illuminated balls. Each ball, or molecule, has three flat, rectangular surfaces, which allows for easy installation in and around corners.

Designed by Zia Priven, these handmade wallpaper shade lamps are quite the thing to add that extra kick to any room. I especially love this one, but there are other colors and designs available for your perusal.

I apologize in advance. For many of you who read our little site, you might have noticed how we usually post things available in the US, and try not to stray too far over the pond, as shipping rates and times can get a little ugly. But, as our readership grows, so too must we. That being said, I also must admit this post stems mostly from selfish reasons.

I love this lamp. It’s a prime example of an elegant, functional object. (If anyone knows of a US retailer, please please let me know)

I’m guessing some of you have seen this lamp in recent advertisements, but I’d just like to share my surprise in it’s actual dimensions: it reaches up to 8 feet high! If this was from any super-high-design place, I reckon it’d be at least twice as much, if not more. So I guess it’s kind of a good deal, huh? If anybody knows different, let us know.
