This lamp seems to be a slight variation on the ubiquitous globe light. Might be just enough detail to add a little more ‘oomph’ to your living or sleeping area.

These have an interesting textural look about them, and, considering their size, would certainly add a nice patterned lighting effect.

At almost 9 inches high, this relatively small lamp has to be seen in context to be appreciated. The glass base allows the impression of hovering above the table surface which gives a very clean and modern look to a bedroom or living area.

Not only is this nicely modern, it’s also super efficient with halogen bulbs and built-in reflectors to provide an adjustable direct light.

This price is just right for a lamp chock-full of character.

It’s slightly hard to tell exactly what’s happening with this lamp, and I suppose that’s part of the appeal…

The Mathmos LED lights are so cool and would be perfect for washing a room in color. This one is 8″ across and can be used on a table top or wall mounted. It cycles through the color spectrum and if you find one you like, you can press the light to make it stay there. It would also be great for a kids room.

It’s not often that a lamp is designed to be mistreated, but this Birzi lamp from LucePlan is made from pressed silicone, which bends to a few different shapes whichever way you’d like.

So maybe this is still a little high for a lamp, even though it’s almost half off, but I think it’s different enough to warrant the extra cash. Plus, it’s imported, so that unfortunately affects the overall price.
