Perhaps with your keen design eye you’ve guessed that the Bouroullec brothers have something to do with this cute little lamp; you’d be right, of course. To change position of this lamp, you simply place the base on one of its 24 faces. I’d have to see this in person to really know how easy it would be to maneuver, but I do like the simplicity of base-stem-light with no extra joints or pivots. Also, is there something a little golf-like about the faceted white base and club-ish head?

An LED ‘candle’ that never burns down sounds pretty fantastic, even if the price point is way beyond what most of us would want to spend. A black or red circuit board has 128 tiny LEDs on each side that renders the image of a flickering candle flame. A warm color temperature makes the flame look quite realistic despite the obvious circuitry, thus creating a nice tension between traditional lighting and recent technology. What a nice night light this would be…
