I’ve been pretty impressed with the quality of designs coming out of West Elm lately. I’m haven’t been the hugest champion of their case goods, but I think their accessories have been spot-on.

These mirrors have a refined blackened frame, and would be perfect in an entry, above a fireplace or above a dresser. The round one (above) is 30″ diameter and $149, while the small rectangular one is 36″ x 24″ and $129. The large one (not shown) is $349, and is not one solid mirror but features smaller mirror tiles.

The Placa Lamp is a charming little light that rests on a simple board. This plinth-like base sets off the lamp and switch elements, making a sort of stage to set items upon. The double and triple versions have additional lamp shades, which add to the stage feel (almost like actors conspiring). Gandia Blasco has quite a few nice options for the floor these days. This Arabesco Wool Kilim Rug Red has a large central pattern that is offset by the small zigzagged edging, giving your room a focal point without introducing too many busy details. Also available in blue.

If you’ve never heard of Three Potato Four, and you like antiques and flea market finds, you’re in for a treat. Besides having their own brick and mortar store located in Philadelphia, PA, they’ve now teamed up with Urban Outfitters to design 3-P4, an eight-piece home collection inspired by the items from their shop. Stu Eli, who owns and runs the store with his wife Janet Morales, says their aim was to create items “manufactured for everyday use”.

Just ran across these Fortune Posters from The Best Part. Each print uses phrases from real fortune cookies collected over the course of the artist’s life. Available individually for $10 or as a set of 8 for $50… not bad for art on a budget.

I love this little porcelain tray from West Elm. I think this is the perfect place to put my phone, wallet and keys when I come home after work. It would also be a really cute place for jewelry or make-up or anything that needs a bit of organizing.

These colorful little pod-like pieces would be perfect for putting by the door for small things like keys, sunglasses, phone, etc. They’re small enough you can hang a jacket or coat on top, which is a definite plus. Made out of rolled bamboo using traditional Vietnamese skills.
