If you go weak in the knees for stationery stuff, you’re in trouble. Normann Copenhagen recruited Denmark-based designers Femmes Régionales to create over 200 different designs in the Daily Fiction collection. There’s 18 colors and four abstract terrazzo prints all over notebooks, stickers, pencil sharpeners, scissors, pens, pencils, and more… all that’s left to say is good luck picking which ones you’ve got to add to your collection.

Just look at the colors on Studio Arhoj’s Slurp Cups. Pretty, right? Each porcelain cup is hand-cast and glazed in various colors for an interesting take on your morning coffee or afternoon tea. Puzzles! Put one out on your coffee table and you’ll be able to sneak in contemplation time, because who can resist putting together a few puzzle pieces? Feeling a little disjointed? Don’t worry, it’s just the mirror. Sections of mirrored glass are cut and pushed off-center to give a playful twist to an otherwise ordinary reflection. Take a look at the designer’s website and you’ll be able to see a theme, I think. It’d be interesting to try and make your own, wouldn’t it? How about we get a head start on spring gardening? Being in the market for garden tools myself, I’ve noticed quite a bit of ‘stylish’ garden tools with bright colors and patterns. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but if we’re cut from the same sort of cloth, you might just appreciate the no nonsense approach of stainless steel, solid brass ferrules, and natural beech wood handles of these garden tools. Plus, the Hand Rake is notable in that the springy tines are designed to avoid damaging new shoots while gathering leaves.

Don’t have a safe? You could hide your valuables safely away from prying eyes and sticky fingers in a “mysterious” hollow book. I’ve tried making one of these before; it took a long time to cut out the inner area of pages and it took a lot of glue to make the pages stick together properly. As promised, here are the Block Shop Rugs. Made of 100% Indian cotton, dyed and woven by hand, each rug features a simple, graphic design that’s sure to liven up any lonely room. Dhurries, if you’re not familiar, are flat woven rugs designed for heavy use. While they don’t have a thicker pile like other rugs, they are lightweight, durable, and reversible. Now, to choose a favorite… it’d have to be the Walter or the Temple, I think.
