It’s strange how such a simple ‘tweak’ can update an old pattern into something that complements the modern table setting.

A lovely combination of east and west, the Chinese Whisper features standard willow patterns on standard ceramic plates, cups and saucers. Alone, this would seem rather common, but with a simple tweak in manufacturing, the patterns are mismatched, adding a clean, contemporary edge to a classic design.

Small plate: 7.75″ dia.

Saucer: 5.75″ dia.

Maybe it’s not the best season to highlight a coat rack, but it’s pretty special. Might be perfect for the closet until your entryway needs it?

It’s good to see that nothing is wasted while making these modern cuckoo clocks.

The clock face elegantly floats within the negative space of the traditional cuckoo clock form, and looks gorgeous. Made of mirrored acrylic with a quartz movement (one AA battery included), and hook for easy hanging. Made in New York City.

Sure, not everyone’s going to plunk down $500 for a lamp, but it is an excellent, excellent design. If you have it for the next thirty years, you could say it’s worth the $1.38 per month that it averages out to be, but then, I guess you could use that formula to justify buying anything expensive.

The delicate smattering of dots add such a nice touch to these tumblers.

Petite tumblers are made from a creamy white or matte black porcelain and handpainted with a constellation of dots. The shapes vary from almost cylindrical (white) to fairly oval (black) due to how the porcelain behaves in the kiln. Fits nicely in the hand to hold your morning orange juice.

This is a quick and easy way to dress up a bare lightbulb…
