I have Version II of this Naoto Fukasawa humidifier and I love it.

Update: A representative from DARK says “this is initially designed by Davy Grosemans. DARK took this lamp in collection in 2003 (Davy designed it in 2002). 4 years before Hironao ‘designed’ this.” Hmm.

This rug has a completely acceptable price tag (which is always pleasantly surprising).

While these two floor lamps are quite similar in idea, they are entirely different in how the design is actually executed. For those on a budget, the Bauhaus (shown at top) will make do just fine, and the extra bells and whistles that the Twiggy (at bottom) sports is not quite worth the extra $1800. But, those of you that appreciate the finer things, the Twiggy is impressive in quality and detail- take a look at its credentials and see which one might fit you best.

Bauhaus Arc Floor Lamp:

Twiggy Floor Lamp:

We’ve posted the Lightweight and ‘Heavy Guy’ Chandelier (which is also currently one of our banner images) by Mischa Vos, and surprisingly somehow missed this little wall light. It’s incredibly minimal (and affordable too).

This seems a little on the high side of the price range you would normally expect for a laundry hamper, but if you look at it every day, it might be worth paying a little more for the aesthetic value. (The red is especially nice, though it looks like that color might not be available- such a shame.)

Jennifer Khoshbin covers resin deer heads with all sorts of patterned papers, making an altogether modern-yet-quirky trophy. Also, check out her Book Projects, where she cuts and carves pages of books to create some intriguing images.

These containers are made from discarded tires that are hand-cut and hand-sewn into a multi-use vessel indoors or out. They’d be perfect as a planter, carrying container, or just act as a holdall for miscellany.

We posted this a couple of years ago, but each time I run across it I think of it as such a perfect size (36″ long!) for over a bigger dining table.

This lampshade sure shows some green greenery. The feel of taking a walk through the woods would never be too far away if you added this lampshade to one of your rooms.

Posters are an inexpensive way to get some good art on your walls; a case in point is this particular one by Wayne Pate- it’s bold and graphic, yet not much more than what you’d spend on a decent dinner.
