Such a nice set of small bud vases…I like the square shape and how the tube alludes to something semi-scientific.

I think some people forget that visual art can not only make your walls and rooms less empty and a little ‘prettier’, but it can also mean something to you, and evoke a particular feeling that you have upon viewing it. Much like a smell or a song, it’s a package of colors, images and/or textures that brings emotion or thought, so there can be a lot more complexity involved than just figuring out what print from your local craft or furniture store matches your wall color.

That brings me around to my originally intended subject of digital artwork, which is becoming exponentially available nowadays, and opens up possibilities of some pretty good stuff that doesn’t cost thousands of dollars. I like these two from

I’m a little confused. A long while back we posted the Redemption shoe brush, but it’s no longer available. And I guess I thought this one was the same one, but, of course, it’s not. This one is by Fredrikson Stallard, while the other one was by Simone Luling. Is there someone who could shed some light on this?

Here’s a great new desk lamp from Ikea. It’s large in scale and looks great in person. It has a built-in three-way touch dimmer on the lamp which operates as the switch. Diffuser on top of lamp provides a glare-free light.

Roger Arquer built a better mouse-trap.

“Mouse in a Pint is a beer glass upside down. It has a bread stick attached to a spring, tilting the glass so the mouse can get in. Once the breadstick is being nibbled, it breaks and the glass collapses, keeping the mouse inside. Box contains Pint Glass, spring and bread sticks.”

Carafes are everywhere, but this is one of the few I’ve seen that has a wood stopper that seems to fit perfectly.
