Think Tank Limited Edition

The regular Tank U standard vase is pretty cute, and this limited edition (of 100) ups the ante by carrying the image of a world map upon its surface.

“So now we are very happy to present a wonderful limited edition called ‘Think Tank’ that has first been presented last fall in Paris at Maison et Objet. Similar to the ‘standard’ Tank U these are made in Limoges, the birthplace of french porcelain, and are more of a political statement than the other versions.”

Manuscrit Rug by Joaquim Ruiz Millet

We’ve posted this rug before (it’s one of my absolute favorites), but it’s worth a mention that you can get 10% off the regular price up until October 14th.

The Manuscrit Rug (2003) by Joaquim Ruiz Millet is part of Nani Marquina’s newest line of floor coverings. Manuscrit Rug a romantic poem that Millet – a writer, gallery director, exhibitions curator and designer – wrote in his native Catalan. The handwriting is his own, reproduced from an original page of a novel he’s writing, a work of fiction about power relationships imbued with highly charged eroticism. It represents the idea of a work of art on the floor, a bold rug with, literally, a great story. Hand made and hand tufted, Manuscrit has a knot count is 4,320 knots/sq. ft. Made in India.

Love Is Blind Vase by Jessica Lertvilai

This is such an incredibly lovely vase. It’s so subtle, and would make such a good gift- housewarming, wedding, birthday, or anything else. I love it.

“Love letters transcribed into braille relief blanket the surface, creating a delicate texture of light and shadow which visually evoke their intimate meanings. The vase’s narrow oval shape is ideal for floral arrangements, and unfilled it makes a romantically statuesque statement.”

Dip Vase by Robert Bronwasser

Not only does this vase look cool empty, but it would look great with flowers too because the different sections allow you to create an interesting arrangement.

“Arrange your flowers into striking displays with the Dip Vase by Robert Bronwasser! What looks like several delicate, porcelain cylinders, arranged into a smooth, organic shape, is actually soft, unbreakable vinyl, formed with a dipmoulding technique. As a cohesive unit, water is held in the vase and distributed throughout the different parts.

Group multiple vases together to create an intricate field of flowers!”

Photography Floor Lamp

For just under $100, this floor lamp is pretty decent. I like the ’40s feeling to it, as it would add a little bit of antiquity to a room.

“Retake of a 1940s studio source light, scaled anew for residential sets. Adjustable-angle brushed metal head angles light easy on the eyes with a frosted glass diffuser. Metal pole on raised X-base adjusts in height 47″ to 67″. Hardware included.”

This series of 30 ceramic plates is guaranteed to make your meals more interesting. You could just get a few, or the whole thing (if you have that sort of money). One thing is for certain, you’ll not be accused of boring tableware.

“Using different original plates from the Royal Tichebaar Makkum collection, each piece is partly hand-painted and partly printed. Mix and match the patterns to enliven your table with vibrant bursts of color…”

I’m sure there are places right now that are enjoying the type of weather that begs for picnics, even though where I am it would be unheard of (too hot). This set is so small it can fit in your glove compartment! How’s that for spontaneity?

“Equipped with two plastic plates, two sets of silverware, a corkscrew and a container for salt and pepper, the picnic set unfolds to provide an instant “blanket” and everything you need for instant gratification – just add a bottle of wine, some bread , cheese, salami….and you’re ready to eat…”

Kotori Sake Serving Set

This set has such nice form; the handle of the pitcher lends a subtle modern feel. It would be an excellent housewarming/wedding gift…

“Like its namesake ‘kotori’ย is Japanese for ‘small bird’ this sprightly porcelain sake pitcher stands watch over five small cups. The set, designed by Finland’s Tomi Pelkonen, rests on a thick oak serving tray. SFMOMA exclusive.”
