Recently my entry hall got an update with a new floor mirror, and I can honestly say it makes coming home a nicer experience. It opens up the space, which is really nice in smaller areas.

For anyone who has ever wanted one, now’s the time to purchase the larger version of Alexander Taylor’s Fold Lamp. I think we’ve posted this lamp three different times because we like it so much.

Most of us could probably use a good look at this map- or at least post it up somewhere prominent to remind ourselves that there are many other places in the world. Not trying to be philosophical here, just suggesting some perspective.

I was just in Seattle this weekend and was reminded of how cool this mirror was when I saw it in one of the shops down town. (The store is called Ornamo, but they don’t have an online store–but do stop by if you’re in the area.)

The mirror is large in scale (35h x 12w x 10″d) and generally just really cool. It’s on sale now at Moma.

I think this is one of those things that you don’t fully appreciate until you actually own it. It would certainly organize entryways and decrease the chance of tripping over stray shoes. We’ve posted this before a while ago; now it’s available in the smaller size at a slightly more affordable price.

I’m glad that the mass-market retailers are finally doing eco-friendly products.

Now, let me just say I know this is terribly expensive, but it’s also terribly cool, and I’m hoping that there will soon be a more affordable version (I’m almost sure of it because technology is just that way) for us all to have. It’s a mirror that accepts SMS messages from a phone! I suppose this is a little more of what we would expect of the 21st century, given that we have high expectations from a childhood cartoon.
