There’s something nice about this. You can write someone a postcard and then they can write on the other side and send it back to you. Much more personal than email.
Pack of 10 post cards.

This probably qualifies as an unnecessary luxury item, but I am sure someone will genuinely appreciate this ice cream container (or, as some would affectionately call ‘koozie’).
Measures 4 inches tall and fits a standard, store-bought ice cream or sorbet pint container.

Energy-efficient and affordable, this light is quite the buy if you are limited in funds.
“The forward-thinking team at Knoend marries modernist aesthetics and eco-conscious principles for true 21st-centrury design. Building on the legacy of George Nelson’s ‘bubble lamps’ the Lite2go is a translucent geometric form that provides diffused, energy-efficient lighting from a pendant or tabletop position. The innovative configuration eliminates packaging.”

Sure, there are tons of bottle openers out there, but this one also tackles screw-caps, which might bump it up on the list.
“this stainless steel opener from piet hein shows off the “super-ellipse” design in a new way. this attractive accessory makes opening either pop-tops or screw-caps a breeze. stylish, functional, and handy, all in one!”

These have an interesting textural look about them, and, considering their size, would certainly add a nice patterned lighting effect.
“Made from re-purposed fishing line woven with vines around a strong metal armature, these super-sized spheres capture the light, not the fish. Each includes a 12′ cord set with a plug end.”

I’ve often thought about making a blanket out of t-shirts–but I haven’t yet because I didn’t know it could turn out this cool.
“You must be the change you want to see in the world,” and this lovingly handmade throw brings Mahatma Gandhi’s words home in a warm and inspiring way. From the carefully selected materials, to the boldly embroidered lettering, it’s a beautifully personal embodiment of a universally important idea.”

If you get frustrated by the minimal amount of paper/drawings/menus that your current fridge magnet holds, then this would completely solve your problem.
“This little chap is made from a super-strong magnet coated in non-scratch plastic to protect your fridge and your photos. But what really makes the Endo brilliant is that is in effect a magnetic hinge – to use, you just press the top and the magnet frees up whatever it is holding, release and it and it grips again…all without any springs or moving parts. Combining neodymium, silicone and steel, the Endo clip is great looking, holds up to 20 pages or 1 lb and can be thrown in the dishwasher for cleaning.”
Each magnet is 2″ x 1″, pack of 3.

This lamp seems to be a slight variation on the ubiquitous globe light. Might be just enough detail to add a little more ‘oomph’ to your living or sleeping area.
“Table or floor lamp made of a white acrylic sphere with three elliptical laser cut holes and chromed metal structure.”

Yet another storage option for your wine collection…really, with the seemingly vast numbers of wall mounted wine holders, you have no excuse to not display your vino properly.

Belts made into a rug, huh? Sure enough, it does seem to take the look of a worn wooden floor and it would definitely be a unique addition to your home.
“This handsome, handmade floor mat is made of artfully assembled vintage leather belts that have been rescued on their way from waist to waste. Its rich tones, textures, and tread-friendly patina evoke the look of a wonderfully worn wood floor, albeit with a decidedly warmer under-foot feel. Each Vintage Belt Floor Mat is a one-of-a-kind creation, and as such, colors and characteristics will vary slightly from those pictured.”

If you’ve ever been to a party (or supermarket) where there was a wine carrier bag thing, chances are it was horrible. I’ve seen some that have been tasseled, glue gunned and glittered; others with really disturbing miscellaneous adornment attached to a otherwise simple bag. No harm done if you think those kinds of things are acceptable, but I encourage you to consider this particular one for its nice simple design and overall pleasing color. It will protect bottles just as nicely and you run less of a risk of offending someone.
“The latest in a series from JoshJakus, this wine carrier is a single piece of wool felt with an optimally-placed hole, stitched at the top and sides. Once a bottle of wine is inserted, the hole becomes the bag’s handle.”
materials:
100% industrial wool felt, nylon stitching. (Industrial felt is made from approximately 85% factory excess wool and 15% mixed fibers.)
16.25″ long x 6.5″ wide, when flat

This indoor/outdoor swing by Marcel Wanders (NL) for Droog Design is a swing that you fill with potting soil and seeds.
“As the plant grows upwards along the ropes, a poetic place evolves for the garden of the living room. Also your kids will love this in their room or in the garden!”
