The price is probably a bit steeper than what you’d find at your local bed/bath retailer, but you most likely wouldn’t find anything this well thought out or designed there either… The inside door of the bathroom cabinet is mirrored glass and has staggered shelves to optimize space.

As unseasonably cold weather spreads throughout the country, my attention turns to warm linens. This honeycomb one is nice, looks quite warm, and is on sale.

It’s not often that a lamp is designed to be mistreated, but this Birzi lamp from LucePlan is made from pressed silicone, which bends to a few different shapes whichever way you’d like.

The graphic nature of this nice black and white rug would certainly add a good amount of interest to any room.

A few people have emailed us about Third Drawer Down®, and pretty much the only reason there hasn’t been a post until now is because it’s difficult to choose just one to highlight. They have made common objects such as aprons, tea towels and kercheifs into usable art and I know there’s quite a few I would frame. Also, keep in mind these would be excellent gifts for anyone who has a kitchen (which is almost everyone).

I’m not a huge candle-fan, but I like the idea of fire and ice used together. You fill the mould with water and let it freeze, then you light the candle and as the ice melts, it drains neatly back into the mould.

This chandelier by Maarten Baas features the recent design technique of using burnt wood and epoxy.
