Carafes

Fluted Talise Carafe

Water is a necessity, but nowadays too many of us rely on plastic bottles to get our daily intake. Perhaps by purchasing this very nice Talise carafe, you’ll cut down the amount of plastic you use and thus become a more responsible adult. Unending supplies of water and other beverages may be kept in its lovely fluted design, which looks so much more appropriate on a dinner (or conference) table than a six pack of plastic bottles. Use the inner funnel to hold a water filter, if needed, or remove entirely for non-filtered beverages.

Ridge Kitchen Set

What about buying something for tabletop for a change? The Ridge set somehow hits a new-yet-vintage vibe, and the hand blown pieces with their rippled surface is sure to be a hit when you’re proffering beverages. The collection is now back in stock, thankfully.

Twin Carafe

This double-walled carafe is just about as simple as it gets. For coffee, use the center of the lid as a pour over set. Not big on coffee? The lid’s ridged edge filters loose-leaf tea. Pretty smart that the lid works for both, right? Without the lid, the glass carafe works overtime to hold water, juice, or maybe even (if you’re feeling nice) flowers.

Deuce Pitcher/Watering Can

Another weird watering can? Of course! And, even better, this one could also be a carafe, if you should so desire, as one spout is for plants and the other for pouring drinks. Use the long spout as a handle when filling your glass, or, alternatively, grasp the 1 1/4 liter body to water plants. This double function will let you donate any other watering cans and carafes that are cluttering up your cabinets while also delighting in your ability to find such well-designed containers. Go ahead, pat yourself on the back.

Ripple Glasses and Carafe

If you’re drinking your favorite cold beverage out of a chipped mug, snap up this set of Ripple Glasses pronto. Mouth blown into the mold, each glass features a lovely rippled surface. Look closer and you’ll see that each glass has a varied height to its collar; that adds interest, of course, but it also means you’ll be able to tell which glass is yours when your friends and family are around. Go ahead and get the matching carafe too- you might as well, as the whole grouping is quite affordable.

Bambus Glass Carafe

How about another nice carafe to hold your hydration source? This handblown carafe was inspired by the bamboo of Zen gardens; it has an elegant handle and a drinking glass that fits perfectly on top. As stated before, a carafe lets you rely less on plastic bottles of water (hooray!) and more on your own two feet… to get water from the office cooler or your fridge’s filter. Perhaps while you walk to replenish said water you can be thankful that it’s clean and plentiful, and that you’re crossing a distance of yards instead of miles, unlike lots of other people in other parts of the world. Did you know you’d get a guilt trip while reading about why a carafe is so great? Surprise, and you’re welcome.

Sempli’s Incanter

Summer is right around the corner, which means you’ll need cold drinks in good supply. Sempli’s Incanter looks sort of fun, if you can get past the tipsiness that you might feel watching it spin around. Maybe you’ll put fruits in the borosilicate glass infuser and then pour in a liquor, but I’d opt for water or lemonade because I’m not a boozehound (like you). There is something nice about the vessel doing the mixing for you, and it’ll look oh-so-pretty on your table.

Eau Carafe

Similar to black + blum’s ‘Eau Good’ Filter Water Bottle, this Eau Carafe is the ideal candidate for storing water in your fridge. A binchotan active charcoal filter purifies the water while the overall shape is pleasing to hold and pour from; it’s even nice enough to keep it out during dinner. You can’t say that for many water purifiers.

Ash Glass Set And Carafe

Don’t be afraid of color; this glass set won’t hurt you (unless someone throws one at you). The drips of color are carefully blown directly into the glass, making each one slightly different and unique in gradation. Designer Kira A. Heuer created this set to bring awareness to our relationship with water (“Aesthetic Activism“) and to decrease the use of plastic bottled water by providing “chic and functional” glassware.

Pinson Carafe

This carafe by designer Céline Frébault (in collaboration with the Sentou gallery) incorporates a rather odd beaker-like handle, which fills when the carafe is full. As far as carafes go, it’s definitely got a high end (semi-mad-scientist?) look… any guesses as to the price? Is it $50, $100, $200?

Snowe Drink Essentials Set

Bargain glassware has one thing going for it: bargain pricing. But it’s not such a bargain if the glassware breaks after a couple of uses, right? Here’s a drinkware set that’s durable, elegant, and rather affordable. A set of four glasses are paired with a tall carafe; all are made in Italy of lead-free crystallized glass that is both ultra-clear and break resistant. Quality and beauty combined? Yes, please. This might be an excellent gift, by the way- you may want to bookmark it for a nice housewarming or holiday gift option.

Gugo Glass Pitcher Jugs

Nice jugs. See, I can say that aloud without fearing a punch in the face. You might need to be a little more careful, especially if you give one of these as a gift to a favorite co-worker or your mother-in-law.

The Gugo Pitcher Jugs are designed by Kanz Architetti and produced by Venetian glass artisan Erre Soffieria. And, if you haven’t noticed the prices, do take a look. Pleasantly surprised? Me too.

Recycled Glass Carafes & Tumblers

Make sure you stay hydrated by keeping a carafe and tumbler close by. Hmm, what’s that? You don’t own a nice carafe and tumbler? Well, it wouldn’t hurt if you added a set of these recycled glass carafes and tumblers to your belongings, as they’re eco-friendly and convenient. The tumbler stacks inside the mouth of the carafe- it acts as a lid and makes storage and transportation easy.
