I know we’ve posted other pieces of this collection before, but this ten drawer cabinet is pretty impressive. I still absolutely love the color block accents.
“The Tetra 4 furniture collection by notNeutral is made up of a collection of storage units inspired by the Greek numerical prefix Tetra, meaning 4, and the 80’s computer game, Tetris which uses 4 segments (4 drawer sizes) to build interlocking structures. From low credenza to tall dresser notNeutral offers four shapes and sizes, all with one accent color drawer of your choice. The Tetra 4 series is playful enough for the nursery and sophisticated enough for a dining room. These contemporary, versatile pieces keep pace with your changing world.”

I like how this is simple, no-nonsense and looks a little like packing crates. It’s got a sturdy price tag because it’s made with all the traditional joinery techniques that make it last forever: tongue and groove, mortise and tenon, and dovetailing.
“Each piece of wood is hand-rubbed with oil to bring out the grain’s character. Four-drawer dresser has an open and airy look with horizontal slats exposing vertical supports and hidden angle-cut self-pulls.”

This is pretty sharp- love the contrasting drawers and options such as a mirrored or tray top (for an additonal charge)…
“Tetra2 is a 6 drawer unit made up of the four drawer sizes in a 3-row high, 2-drawer wide configuration. Made of a Birch Euro-ply, this unit features one brightly-painted drawer (your choice) and two dark sable painted drawers. The remaining three drawers are finished in the natural Birch Euro-ply. Tetra2 can be used as a low cabinet, small dresser, or changing table with accessory add-ons.”

I’m such a sucker for different-looking furniture. You know, the type that not everyone has or can get, or for that matter, even likes. Now, why someone wouldn’t like simple lines, a strong graphic presence, and such a suprising color is beyond me. Green goes with everything, right?

What I really like about this storage is that because it is low profile, it doesn’t give a weighty feel to a room, but it still really provides a lot of storage. If you had an armoir in the same space the room would feel smaller. But because this is so low, it really has a neutral effect.
Also, it would work really well in any room: bedroom, office, livingroom, etc.
Made in Italy.

This piece has me a little floored. It’s so simple and yet really well done. It has a baroque pattern which is wallpapered onto a steel base.

This price ain’t so bad for a dresser so sleek. The long pulls and low shape make up for an altogether inexpensive storage cabinet for all your sweaters and such. I’m happy that there are options out there for those of us on limited budgets. Hurray.

A little fancier than ikea. This double dresser is proportioned for small and hard-to-fit spaces, and is made with a natural cherry wood veneer (instead of a photographic image of wood grain on plastic). The drawers have metal drawer pulls and ball-bearing drawer glides. Complete assembly required.

While perusing Design Public’s site, I was pleased to run across this armoire. As you can see from the picture, it’s white with gray chalkboard doors, and has a lacquered white interior with orange shelves and drawer fronts. It’s quite simple yet impressive because of the nice orange insides and, of course, the ever-changing-up-to-you-art-on-the-doors. Those details count, you know. Mulitple shelves are included as well as an optional hang bar, and, if you’d rather go the hide-the-tv route, it’s got that nice feature of wire management so you can put your electronics inside.
Dimensions (inches): 47 W 50 H 20 D
Materials: 100 percent hardwood, non-VOC lacquered paint.
Made in the USA.

I suppose this is meant for a nursery, ’cause that’s what it says on the site, but really I’m thinking it could be for any room that you need storage. Six drawers flank the middle door that holds a hamper (that you can buy with the dresser) or an adjustable shelf. And, if that’s not enough for you, you have your pick of carving options and base wood color as well. Available in Cotton Candy, Pond, Slumber, or Snow.
Lacquered MDF and birch.
66 W x30 H x19 D
Dark or ligh birch platform options.

So, maybe these aren’t your favorite colors. That’s okay. Because you can pick from specified color drawer fronts. And, if you don’t like maple wood, they also offer walnut. Simple assembly required, and for that price, I could stand it.
