What I really like about this storage is that because it is low profile, it doesn’t give a weighty feel to a room, but it still really provides a lot of storage. If you had an armoir in the same space the room would feel smaller. But because this is so low, it really has a neutral effect.

Also, it would work really well in any room: bedroom, office, livingroom, etc.

It’s rare that “contemporary” furniture stores do modern correctly. Usually their product lines have those gross atomic legs or “funky” pieces that already look outdated and cheap. But I think this bedroom set is pretty on-target and inexpensive to boot. I like the nightstands too! Only $199!

It’s time to start thinking about fall again. This bedding is available in copperplate, espresso, jadeite, leek, and white.

These legs look delicate yet at the same time very strong. It’s the most architectural bed I’ve seen in a long time.

If you’ve been looking for a simple platform bed, but haven’t fell in love with anything yet, take a second look at this one. It has excellent proportions (just the right amount of thickness around the edges) and a lovely semi-subtle grain. I’ve got a hunch it might be of better quality than some of the other platform beds in the same price range kicking around out there…

It’s often hard to find bedding for the modern-ish home. There’s just so much out there, and honestly, there’s also a whole lot of patterns that just don’t make me very happy. But this does. Simple stripes paired with bright(ish) colors give punch without going overboard on pattern.

This piece has me a little floored. It’s so simple and yet really well done. It has a baroque pattern which is wallpapered onto a steel base.

This is great for lounging around with your laptop without suffering radiation to the ‘important areas’.

Unheard-of pricing for the Alu Headboard. I could afford this.

The upholstered headboard is usually $700 but the orange & red versions are only $299. The headboards tilt back from 0° to 30° to 45° for reading or watching tv. The headboard is actually slip covered so that gives those of you non-orange lovers an opportunity to buy it on the cheap while maintaining the option to take it to your local tailor to have it made in a different color.

This is a pretty smart design, and it would certainly impress your guests…Imagine pulling it out of the closet, setting it down, adjusting, and then saying, “Ta-da!”. I think I wouldn’t mind it as an everyday bed either, as it has a casual/edgy look about it.

Jonathan Adler has been blowing up lately, evidenced here in his ubiquitous lantern design linens being sold at Big Box retailer Bed Bath and Beyond. I like these sheets and they’re not too pricey.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive bed that doesn’t require box-springs, have I got a deal for you. It’s a wenge wood finish, which is nice for those of you with ultra dark furniture. Alternatively, this may be a good DIY project for adding a thin veneer of real walnut or teak.
