If you’ve got a lot of time on your hands, you might consider taking up a hobby, let’s say something like covering a chair with tiny pieces of a map. Or, if you don’t have the time you could of course buy this one. It’s slightly pricey, but considering that someone did this by hand, and that you’re paying for convenience, it’s not as bad as it could be.

This console would be ideal for an entryway or behind a sofa. It has the detailing of the traditional Chinese medallion console to add interest but wouldn’t take up too much visual space. (I’m a big fan of mixing different styles and periods of furniture- something like this would provide an interesting contrast to a super modern sofa or chair.)

Pairing a little detail with an otherwise simple modern shape seems to suit this sideboard quite well. There’s just enough scroll work to keep it interesting, yet it wouldn’t clash with or distract from other pieces in the room.

This has got to be the best deal around on a sofa. Now mind you, the price is so low, you may want to investigate the upholstery by asking for a swatch. But, if you’re on a tight budget and need something to sit on for a small space, this may be just what you’re looking for.

Obviously this is really close to the Daybed designed by Mies Van Der Rohe, however it’s not a copy because the head pillow is slightly different, which is why it gets away with just being called “inspired” by Mies. I’m mostly posting it because I was really impressed by the low price tag.
