DWR has 10 limited-edition Florence Knoll Benches (donated by Knoll) for auction, and all proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.

This is an unbelievable price for such a well constructed and designed sofa. Blu Dot are kind of the new kids to the game, so they are eschewing a lot of the conventional design beliefs, such as a well made sofa needs to cost a fortune.

Here’s a decent modern sofa in a reasonable price range:

The Freud Sofa (perhaps named for the incline associated with sofas in psychiatric offices?) can be ordered with a spare cover for decor changes or for ease in cleaning spills for you neurotic types. (See what I did there?)

This would require a bit more money out of the bank than most other coffee tables, but it’s amazing, so it makes sense that it has a higher price point.
