The Box Table from Brazilian architect and designer Ilse Lang. The table features a ‘box’ leg which rotates out to reveal a hidden storage area. The wood is a veneer of sustainably grown Pau Ferro.

Bound to become iconic (in my humble opinion), this chair is an investment that will be worth every penny as years pass.

It seems to me that we would’ve posted this before, though I can’t seem to find any record of it. And if we have, I think it’s well worth another entry. It’s such a great design and so terribly great-looking as to inspire need (as in, I need that piece of furniture). And, of course, it’s by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Cappellini (2004).

If you’re looking for an inexpensive bed that doesn’t require box-springs, have I got a deal for you. It’s a wenge wood finish, which is nice for those of you with ultra dark furniture. Alternatively, this may be a good DIY project for adding a thin veneer of real walnut or teak.

If you’re wanting to add some Gehry pieces into your home, this little block table is a relatively affordable way to do it.

This is a really good price for a well constructed glass-top desk.
Glass surfaces create a home office with an open, airy look. Choose the large or small workstation that suits your space. Work surfaces are opaque tempered 10mm glass; bases are metal with a powder-coated finish.

Philippe Starck’s name is synonomous with design, at least to the general public, and I think this chair is a good example of why…reducing the chair form down to it’s simplest outline is so obvious that it is suprising it’s not been done before, yet reassuring that someone’s thought to do it. (Obvious in a good way, by the way.)

I like insanely modern furniture. The kind that makes your head spin around and wonder what century you live in. I’m all for historical designs reinterpreted for our current design needs (or wants)…so, I’m shameless in promoting all well done interpretations, even if they’re a little higher than my budget allows.
