I could really use one of these. The best thing about a laptop is the portability but just using it in your lap (I’ve found) is not exactly the best thing for your posture. So why not couple your laptop with a portable desk as well? This desk has a gas piston that adjusts the caddy’s height and a mouse tray that positions left or right.

I’ve had my eyes on this desk for a while and now it’s on sale. I’m not sure how I feel about the limed blonde wood, but I think a nice coat of white paint (almost lacquer-like) would make it stand out nicely.

The new Ikea Catalog was in my mailbox yesterday, (viewable here online), and I have to admit to seeing some good designs. I like this desk. It’s a little more farmhouse modern than spaceship modern, but that can be good.

This desk is light and airy feeling without sacrificing storage. It’s also environmentally friendly:

So I’m preparing for my whole “flat-pack” adventure, and while this desk is a little blobby for my taste, it certainly fits the bill. This desk has been designed for companies that “need a quick set-up or who move around a lot” and can be assembled and disassembled as frequently as you need. They’re also sturdy–they’ve been tested to withstand 900 pounds of pressure.

When flat all the pieces measure up to under a few inches.

This is quite a different take on an otherwise usual problem of storage.

This is a really good price for a well constructed glass-top desk.
Glass surfaces create a home office with an open, airy look. Choose the large or small workstation that suits your space. Work surfaces are opaque tempered 10mm glass; bases are metal with a powder-coated finish.

I don’t know about you, but this makes my fingers itch to make furniture out of cardboard. If you’re less inclined but still want the furniture, you now can get the look without the (presumable) hassle.
