Hardwood USB by Michael Leung for Lexon

I think this marks the beginning of an inevitable trend, or at least the first of it’s kind that I’ve seen anyways… As USB flash drives become more and more prevelant, there’s bound to be new ways of integrating it into daily personal fashion.

“Hardwood USB by Michael Leung for Lexon features a necklace USB flash drive that creates a closer connection between a person and their data. Currently available in dark wood only.”

Mus2 computer mouse

Art Lebedev Studio is the largest design company in Russia, and it has a storehouse of some pretty great ideas. One of them is this mouse, which despite it’s shape it’s still pretty ergonomic.

Also something you should check out is the Optimus-Mini ($100, available May 15.)

Currently taking pre-orders.

TV-B-Gone

I can’t count the number of times I wish I had one of these. Especially at airports when there’s three televisions all within a 15 foot radius each on different channels…drives me crazy. This little remote will turn off virutally any television within a 20 to 50 foot range, all with a press of a button. Of course, your magic powers could cause some upset, but I think sometimes a break from all the TV noise is a very, very good thing.

May take up to 69 seconds for the television to turn off (90% of televisions should turn off within 17 seconds).

1.92″ x 2.27″ x .675″

No Signs

Take a break from those monitors and tv screens. Rest your eyes! Go outside and spend some time with trees and birds and such (unless you live somewhere cold, and in that case you should read a book). These No Signs will remind you and those that you love to stay away from the devices which we have become absurdly dependent on (I’m including myself here).

Made of silicon with rubber suction cups.

9.75h x 9.75w x .25″d

Pocket Mod

I was torn as to whether to put this in the “Tech” category, because the process is somewhat “tech” but the result is decidedly low-tech.

If you’ve been looking for a free alternative to a PDA, you should give PocketMod a shot. It is a flash interface which allows you to organize your information in a way that would be most convenient for you.

“The PocketMod is a new way to keep yourself organized. Lets face it, PDA’s are too expensive and cumbersome, and organizers are bulky and hard to carry around. Nothing beats a folded up piece of paper. That is until now. With the PocketMod, you can carry around the days notes, keep them organized in any way you wish, then easily transfer the notes to your PDA, spreadsheet, or planer.

The PocketMod is a small book with guides on each page. These guides or templates, combined with a unique folding style, enable a normal piece of paper to become the ultimate note card. It is hard to describe just how incredibility useful the PocketMod is. It’s best that you just dive in and create one.”

Cableyoyo

The Cableyoyo was posted long ago, but since it’s such a great solution for cord organization I thought it was worth an update.

So simple, it’s beyond smart… wrap your iPod, camera, phone charger, you name it cable around the Yoyo, have one end stick out, tuck the other one in and off you go, no more mess. But wait, there’s more: Stick the center to your laptop, back of your screen, or even directly onto your plug and you’ll be really organized!
