These dry sacks are noteworthy for several reasons. First, they’re designed to keep your valuables and electronics dry, perfect for backpacking trips where rain could be involved. The sacks also feature an easy-to-open recycled aluminum valve on the side which twists open and closed to purge trapped air inside bag, helping to reduce bulk.

Most notably though, is the fact that it’s made sustainably:

The North Face is one of very few logos that I can look out without getting an allergic reaction (anybody read Pattern Recognition by William Gibson?). This bag actually looks pretty sleek, which seems unlikely considering it’s a duffel coated with polyurethane, but there you go. It looks decent.

These make adapting your electrical devices look fun- maybe because they look kind of puzzle-ish?

When you’re traveling, anti-bacterial hand washes are great to have because more often than not, you’re eating on the run. My good friend D. over at Less is More Balanced has come up with a recipe to make your own hand sanitizer which not only smells amazing and really works, but also is a genius way to keep all those little bottles out of the landfills.

Make a solution of 60% of alcohol and 40% distilled water and then add a dash of your favorite essential oil. Peppermint smells amazing, but I’m sure any oil would work just as well. Since it is liquid, you will want to put it in an atomizer or spray bottle (I like the one’s sold by Muji) because that will make application easier.

All three of these would be completely suitable to be seen with while jet-setting. I especially like the white with the mirror finish, though I don’t know how it would look after a few trips…all three feature functional innovations such as ABS shell, for lightweight supreme protection, and silent moving soft wheels.

I wouldn’t say the graphics are ‘fun’, I’d say they’re essential when waking up in a strange place with jet lag and a fuzzy brain.
