Designed in an effort to make medical products more human, the designers decided to create a line of headache tablets and bandages in simple packaging. When you’re traveling, anti-bacterial hand washes are great to have because more often than not, you’re eating on the run. My good friend D. over at Less is More Balanced has come up with a recipe to make your own hand sanitizer which not only smells amazing and really works, but also is a genius way to keep all those little bottles out of the landfills.

Make a solution of 60% of alcohol and 40% distilled water and then add a dash of your favorite essential oil. Peppermint smells amazing, but I’m sure any oil would work just as well. Since it is liquid, you will want to put it in an atomizer or spray bottle (I like the one’s sold by Muji) because that will make application easier.

I wouldn’t say the graphics are ‘fun’, I’d say they’re essential when waking up in a strange place with jet lag and a fuzzy brain.

This whole “no-liquids-on-the-plane” thing has really put a kink in my packing procedures. I used to be an all carry-on, all the time, type of girl. If I couldn’t carry it with me, I probably didn’t need it…and packing all my toiletries in a ziplock baggie to show everyone in line at security leaves me a little non-plussed. Anyway, I like the idea of this paper soap. Each little compact comes with 50 wafer thin soap leaves which disolve with a little water.

Ah, now this is something that would be well worth the cost. Quite a smart design…
