I found this today at Design*Sponge. I know there are lots of wall panel options today, but frankly, some of them are kinda cheesy and will look really funky in an “avocado green appliance” sort of way soon. But I believe that the pop wall panels are classic in the 60’s design sense and I think it would look great and textural on one wall perhaps in the living room or bedroom.

This fireplace support is so simple and beautiful it takes my breath away.

Speaking of Apartment Therapy, they’re currently running their “smallest coolest apartments 2006” contest right now, and I’ve fallen in love with many of the entries but I thought this apartment has the most innovative use of the Ikea Pax wardrobe doors I’ve ever seen. Vince (the resident) used it in his tiny apartment as a movable wall that let’s light in but also provides privacy and dividing the space for different purposes.

I’ve been drafting “the house I want to build” probably ever since I was a child. It changes slightly with each new drawing, but in the last 10 years, it has always featured a knoll-like credenza for the bath. It’s nice to know reality is finally catching up with my fantasy. I love these Flor carpet tiles. The best thing is, if you stain a tile, you can just replace one without having to replace the whole carpet.

Never in my days did I think I’d see a wall mounting toilet. I would definitely consider this in my next bath remodel.

Astek Wallcoverings is a company that has been serving the television and film industry since 1985. They will work with you to create a custom design from sketches or photos. In addition, they have several finishes and murals to choose from.

I rather like the Neutra Architectural Numbers available from DWR. But at $68.00 a pop, it could get pretty expensive. And they only do numbers. I found a company that does numbers and letters (that look remarkably like Neutra’s) for 60% less. The numbers can be installed flush or with spacers. They also do custom fonts. Lifetime warranty.
