Just in case you’re in the market for a small stool, you should train your eyes towards the Douguya Stool. It’s a replica of a vintage design (of unknown origin) and shows honest construction paired with sturdy materials. The brass metal frame is finished with an urushi (Japanese lacquer) coat and topped with a seat of Nara wood.
